Welcome to the Starkweather Elementary Computer Lab.   Everyday our students receive twenty minutes of computer class.  During this time students work for eight minutes on a reading program and eight minutes on a math program from the Computer Curriculum Corporation (CCC).  The computer program automatically advances the students' levels according to their scores.  Students working above or below their grade levels are able to work on problems that correspond with their skills.
The Computer Lab also has an Accelerated Reader Program.  Students take tests on books they have read in the classroom or at home.   Points accumulated from the tests can be used to buy items at the Accelerated Reader store.  Points may also be used for rewards such as an ice cream party after reaching a set goal.
Programs such as CCC and Accelerated Reader make learning fun and exciting for the students at Starkweather Elementary School!
