Color Analyzers

Bar

The second and third grade students completed a unit called "Color Analyzers."  One of the activities involved colored light filters.  The students were able to read special mystery messages using the red filters.  They created mystery messages of their own using the properties that they discovered.  Make your own red filter by coloring a piece of plastic wrap with a red marker.  Then fold the colored part in half to make it darker.  Hold your light filter close to your eyes.  Step back and see if the filter helps you read the secret words below.  The secret to creating a mystery message is to use green, blue and purple for the parts you want to have appear black when using a red filter.
