Career Day Deemed a Success
Starkweather Elementary's
first Career Day took place on Friday, May 22. Students spent the morning hours
traveling around town, touring various business sites and asking questions. The
afternoon activities were reserved for students in grades three through six, as speakers
from around the community came into classrooms to meet with various groups of students who
had indicated an interest in their specific careers.
The day proved to be both interesting and
educational. Career Day helped students see that what they are learning in school is
relevant to what they will be doing in the future.
