Sixth Grade Students Compete in
"Thinking Cap Quiz Bowl"
In November Starkweather
Elementary sixth graders competed against students from 116 other schools in the
"Thinking Cap Quiz Bowl." This contest was designed to run on classroom
computers in order to provide all schools the opportunity to compete without traveling to
a central location. The sixth graders were divided into four teams and the
score of the highest team was submitted to "Thinking Cap" headquarters.
This year's highest scoring team was made up of Kayla Van Maanen, Tracy Ver Mulm, Greg
Rardin, Lucas Leloux, Laura Albrecht, Angel Van Veldhuizen, Justin Van Driel, Cortni Van
Hill, Crystal Beyer, Chris Bouwman, and D.J. Van't Hul. They ranked 54th out of the
117 sixth grade teams competing. Congratulations to the team members on a very
respectable finish!
