Sixth Grade Students Work at the Public Library
to Mark Accelerated Reader Books

Several students from the sixth
grade volunteered to work at the Public Library several days after school this fall.
The students located Accelerated
Reader titles on the shelves and marked them with the appropriate stickers and red
tape. This means students will now have more titles from which to choose when
selecting Accelerated Reader books. Many new titles have been added to the list of
tests available for students in the computer lab. The
librarians tell us that many students and parents come looking for the "red
label" books. The students' efforts have certainly enhanced the Accelerated
Reader program at Starkweather Elementary.
