The Rock Valley Community Schools are a comprehensive school system offering education to students in transitional kindergarten through twelfth grade as well as others identified with special needs. The school district, which serves approximately 600 students, is located in the community of Rock Valley, a city of nearly 2,500 citizens in the northwest corner of Iowa. RVCS includes Starkweather Elementary and a Jr/Sr High School. Both facilities are committed to a common mission of "Educating Today's Student For Tomorrow." Quality education begins with a quality staff, and the Rock Valley Community Schools are proud of the energy, creativity, and caring displayed by our people. The school district employs approximately 75 staff members including administrators, teachers, clerical staff, maintenance/custodians, food service personnel, and paraprofessionals. Likewise, the Rock Valley School District is proud of the quality educational services provided our youth.
